Initiatives and Resources
Siemens Healthineers engagement programmes
As a pioneering world leader, Siemens Healthineers is dedicated to helping enrich and enhance teaching and learning in schools across the UK. In particular we aim to support science, engineering, technology and maths (STEM) subjects and help develop employability skills.
The Next Big Thing
Inspiring the next generation of healthcare entrepreneurs.
Working with local education charity SATRO, mentors and judges put their weight behind the Next Big Thing Challenge, with teams from groups at local schools thinking up what might be the next big innovation for Siemens Healthcare.
Young entrepreneurs from schools across Surrey showed off their business skills in the Siemens Healthineers Next Big Thing Challenge.
The Curiosity Project
Is a three-year engagement programme by Siemens, broadening existing investment to bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to life in the UK.
The UK is great at engineering but there is a problem; there aren't enough young people studying STEM and becoming engineers. Power up Your Body is an interactive game, developed for the Curiosity Project, aimed at encouraging young people to learn more about their bodies and stay healthy. The game is aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils (aged 7-11).
