Clinical Experience with N Latex FLC in Patients with Renal Impairment

With renal impairment being a commonly reported comorbidity among patients with multiple myeloma, and the kidney being the most important organ for the clearance of free light chains (FLC), Dr. Jacobs argues the need for established FLC reference ranges. Using samples from 284 chronic kidney-disease patients obtained at two Dutch sites, a retrospective study was conducted to measure FLC levels using the Siemens N Latex FLC method.
